How to Take Photos and Videos with Mobile Devices

This class will introduce you to taking pictures and videos with your smart phone or tablet.  In addition to taking the pictures, you will learn how to move photos from the mobile device to a computer and/ or the Internet (the Cloud).  You will learn about basic photo editing. Please bring your mobile device with you to class. Basic computer skills are required.

A Family Financial Education Foundation certified counselor will instruct you the basics of setting up a budget, tracking what you spend, and adjusting your plan when an emergency arises. Let us help you find any “extra” money that may be “hiding” in your budget. A free workbook (a $30 value) will be provided with sample budgeting worksheets to track your monthly spending.

Understanding Basic Accounting for Beginners

This class will cover the basics of beginners accounting.  It will cover how to handle simple transactions by identifying whether transactions are dealing with assets, liabilities, income, capital, or expenses.  Plus learning how to balance a general ledger.  Students will need to bring 2 mechanical or standard pencils with an eraser, a 13 columnar pad, college or wide ruled spiral notebook and a calculator.

Introduction to Microsoft Publisher

Microsoft Publisher is a program used to make brochures, newsletters, business cards, calendars, flyers, greeting cards, labels, postcards, forms, letterheads and more.  In this class, you will learn how to create and edit publications.  Basic computer skills are required.

Creative Writing/Memoirs

Do you want to learn how to capture your memories and turn them into your personal memoir? Do you have lots of ideas for stories but don’t know how to get started?  This workshop will help you break through that writers block.  Kayne is a published writer and journalist.  Her works include a novel, a children’s book, and entries in three anthologies.  She is currently a reporter for the Uinta County Herald and works on her own memoir in her “spare” time. 

Internet Safety and Fraud

Internet fraud is a type of fraud or deception, which makes use of the Internet and could involve hiding of information or providing incorrect information for the purpose of tricking victims out of money, property, and inheritance. Learn best practices in personal privacy and security, including strong passwords, using https, reading privacy policies and to identify predatory behavior and how to respond if you have become a victim.

Hand Sewing Basics
