AARP Smart Driver

The AARP Smart Driver Course, offered by AARP DriverSafety, is the nation’s largest classroom driver safetycourse and is designed especially for drivers age 50 andolder. You'll learn how you can manage and accommodatecommon age-related changes in vision, hearing andreaction time. You may be eligible to receive an insurancediscount upon completing the course, so consultyour insurance agent for details. AARP membership isnot required to take the course and there are no tests topass. The classroom course costs $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. Students pay the instructor onthe day of the class.

Digital Photography

Take your photography to new heights by learning how to use manual settings. This course is designed for those with a DSLR camera or a camera that has the ability to create images by changing the settings. The first two lessons we will discuss how aperture, shutterspeed and ISO affect the light necessary to create images in camera. We will take photos in the classroom and outside to practice seeing how these three settings work together and create different looks.  Then we will explore compositional strategies using elements and principles of design to improve images and eliminate distracting objects. Then after spring break we will come back together and share images, examining photos and evaluate our progress and (weather permitting) enjoy a field trip to the Bear Park to capture some more images.  NO CLASS APRIL 2
